A minimum monthly income of approximately Rs8,00,000 is required for those applying for a freelance visa. Other requirements include proof of residency, proof of proof of freelance work, proof of qualification (a university degree or higher education degree from a state or state recognized institution), health insurance, and proof of financial sufficiency for a year. After assembling the necessary paperwork, complete the application and make an appointment at the German embassy. Remember that all paperwork and forms need to be translated into German, and it’s advisable to have two sets of copies on hand.
Indian nationals who work remotely can enter Indonesia for a year with the E33G visa, even though Indonesia does not refer to it as a digital nomad visa. The requirements for the visa include evidence of money, a minimum bank balance of about Rs. 1,66,000, a statement of accounts demonstrating an annual income of roughly Rs. 50,02,000, and verification of employment in a non-Indonesian company.
For professionals who work remotely for an organization outside of Spain or who are self-employed, Spain offers a digital nomad visa. Additionally, local work will be permitted for digital nomads as long as it doesn’t make up more than 20% of their overall activity. The requirements for applicants are a university undergraduate or graduate degree or documentation of three years of work experience. In addition, they will need a current passport, a spotless criminal history, evidence of a job outside of Spain, evidence of contractual work if they are self-employed, proof of permanent residency in their home country, and health insurance to obtain the visa.
Portugal offers a digital nomad visa that is open to all non-EU/EEA citizens. The temporary visa, which entitles the holder to a year’s stay in Portugal with numerous entries, is available for application for remote workers. This permit, however, cannot be renewed or utilized to submit an application for residency. Another option available to individuals is the long-term visa, which permits two entries into the nation during its four-month validity. Holders are eligible to apply for a two-year residency visa after arriving. The temporary visa requires the applicant to be at least eighteen years old, provide proof of employment or remote work, or in the case of independent work, a society contract or other document attesting to the services rendered; additionally, the applicant must have a clean criminal record, be permanently resident in their home country, provide proof of housing in Portugal, and demonstrate a monthly income of roughly Rs2,95,000.
This multi-entry visa, formally called the Mauritius Premium Travel Visa, enables digital nomads to remain and work from the nation for a duration of six months, with the opportunity to extend to a year. A valid passport is required, in addition to evidence of income, proof of employment outside of Mauritius, proof of housing, travel, and health insurance, and a minimum monthly income of roughly Rs. 1,25,000 for single travelers and roughly Rs. 41,700 for each dependent child.
